PBSC Schools

Pro Bono Students Canada PBSC consists of chapters at every law school in Canada. Each chapter is led by Student Program Coordinators who have many different challenges, including the integration of the program into law school culture; recruiting and oversight of students, client organizations and lawyer supervisors, which includes designing and refining student projects and ensuring they go smoothly; planning of training event; and program development. It is a difficult job for any student to manage, as she or he is in the position of supervising other law students, sometimes in tough situations. Coordinators must also be able to gather a great deal of information and disseminate it quickly and effectively, and must serve as role models and leaders for their peers.

PBSC also has a National Office run by Student Coordinators under the guidance of the National Director and two Associate Directors who are also qualified lawyers. The National Office (1) provides support and guidance to local PBSC chapters, and (2) builds PBSC as a national organization.
