Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC) is the world’s only national pro bono student organization. Each year, under the direction of law student leaders at every law school in Canada and with support from lawyers at the National Office, PBSC programs engage approximately 2,000 law students across the country who combine education with public service by developing their legal skills while providing critical legal services to hundreds of public interest organizations, community groups, government agencies, legal clinics and lawyers working pro bono, as well as unrepresented individuals at courthouses and administrative tribunals.

- “I was placed at Lake Ontario Waterkeeper, a charity dedicated to protecting the Lake Ontario environment. It was a great experience. I gained insight into how the legal system can be used to protect our natural resources, and developed a passion for environmental law.”

- "L'implication sociale de nos étudiantes et étudiants dans les travaux parrainés par le Réseau national d'étudiants pro bono constitue un complément naturel idéal à la formation offerte par la Faculté de droit. Nous sommes fiers de nous y associer."

- “Lawyers are in a position to provide a fundamental service that most people will be in need of at some point in their lives. There is a growing need for social justice, and the PBSC program instilled this notion in not only me, but the entire student body.”
- Sonal Kulkarni, student, University of Windsor

- University of Victoria
- “By connecting with community organizations in the Victoria area, PBSC student volunteers develop a pro bono ethic while providing much needed services to marginalized communities, thereby increasing access to justice. I am proud to be part of this terrific organization.”
- Richard Sobkiewicz, University of Victoria PBSC Coordinator 2009-2011
