On January 9th, PBSC—along  with AIDWYC, the CCLA, CLEO, METRAC and OJEN—kicked off the Flip Your Wig for Justice Campaign with a fantastic event at The Law Society of Upper Canada!

Our National Director, Osgoode Dean Lorne Sossin, and the Law Society’s Treasurer Janet Minor spoke about the importance of raising awareness about the lack of access to the justice system for low and middle-income people and the need to raise funds to support the critical work our organizations engage in to increase access to justice. We also got to see a preview of a Flip Your Wig video (coming soon!) featuring testimonies from individuals and community organization representatives who rely on the services our organizations provide. The event was a great success, and PBSC is excited to be bringing the profession together around the common cause of access to justice!

For more information on the serious reasons to flip your wig, check out this article featuring interviews with Dean Sossin and PBSC National Director Nikki Gershbain.

Stay tuned: Flip Your Wig launches on February 26th!  In the meantime, to  keep up with the campaign like the Flip Your Wig Facebook page, follow Flip Your Wig on Twitter, and follow Flip Your Wig on Instagram
