Dalhousie Conference photoPBSC National Director Nikki Gershbain will head to Dalhousie University this week for the 4th annual Association for Canadian Clinical Legal Education conference.  The ACCLE conference provides a forum for legal educators to share best practices, pedagogies and other information related to clinical legal education.  Gershbain will be speaking on a panel titled “Student Legal Clinics and Pro Bono Students Canada: Friends Not Foes”, which will explore the many ways PBSC collaborates and partners with clinics across the country.  Fellow panelists include Douglas Ferguson and Margaret Capes, co-directors of Western’s Community Legal Services clinic and PBSC’s On-Site Supervisors, and Maeve Byrne, a former PBSC Western student Coordinator.  The workshop presenters will review both the advantages and the challenges of these partnerships, and best practices in their work.
