U of T honours McCarthy’s lawyer Gordon Baird for PBSC workPrint
Gordon Baird, a partner at McCarthy Tétrault LLP in Toronto, has been selected as the winner of a University of Toronto Arbor Award for his ardent support of Pro Bono Students Canada. Mr. Baird, a U of T Law graduate, is chair of his firm’s pro bono committee. In that capacity, he has been a longtime supporter of PBSC. He has also volunteered with a number of other public interest and access to justice initiatives at U of T, including the Faculty’s Ethics Bridge Week and Access to Justice Project. Mr. Baird is a member of the Board of Pro Bono Law Ontario.
The University of Toronto Arbor Awards were created in 1989 to recognize volunteers for outstanding personal service to the university. Every year, U of T acknowledges these alumni and friends for their loyalty, dedication and generosity to the university and its students, faculty, staff and alumni.
