Volunteer Appreciation Event with the Honourable Claire L’Heureux-Dubé, former Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada
March 2, 2017
PBSC is thrilled to welcome former Supreme Court of Canada Justice Claire L’Heureux-Dubé on March 8 for our annual Volunteer Appreciation Event. As Justice L’Heureux-Dubé’s visit coincides with International Women’s Day, it is anticipated that she will deliver remarks on the Charter, equality rights, and women in the legal profession. McCarthy Tétrault’s National Practice Leader, Barbara Boake, will co-moderate with Emily MacKinnon, a Litigation Associate and former clerk to Chief Justice McLachlin of the Supreme Court of Canada. The speaking presentation is to be followed by a cocktail reception generously provided by the firm, which allows students to develop their professional networks as they enjoy mingling with firm members and guests well into the evening. Please join us for an opportunity to say thank you to PBSC volunteers at Osgoode and the University of Toronto and the organizational partners and lawyer supervisors that make PBSC placements possible.
